When inner and outer confidence combine together that is when the true style shines through. Abhinya Menon a 28 years old style coach. She has always been fascinated with every aspect of fashion.
When it comes to fashion, it’s key to make it your own style.Fashion is a form of self expression in a specific context of clothing, footwears, accessories, lifestyles etc. Abhinya Menon always wanted to be a style coach, but due to the family reason she had to pursue economic and turn into an economic professor.
But she never gave up on her dream of being a style coach. Later in life, she got married to an Army officer and due to constantly moving from one place to another ( remote areas too). She could not pick up her career. And that was the turning point in her life. “It gave me an opportunity to look into the style and fashion side of mine and I started studying about it”. – Says Abhinya Menon.
What is a style coach?
A style coach is more than a personal stylist. They are trained as a personal stylist but also take a fully holistic style coaching approach helping people with the inner confidence as well as outer style.
Family support is very important when it comes to pursuing your dreams. Abhinya’s parents were so supportive. They would always support her decision and help her when needed. Everyone have their role model in their lives who places a major role. Abhinya’s role model was her mother, who’s an Army officer.
“I’ve seen her being the epitome of strength and how she has managed her house along with her Army duty.”. Says Abhinya.
Abhinya Menon is also a mother of a two years old daughter. She also said , being a mother and a home maker, it’s always a task to manage everything but doing what you love is beyond anything.
Time management works best when a goal or target is set. Her husband would help her with the time schedule of her meeting as they have to look after their kid too. Her husband would keep his day clear when she is busy. They’d cook together and take turns to be with the baby. Abhinya Menon did few courses on styling and now she sees it as her full time job. She have a clients who saw the transformation themselves and loved how with few changes the whole look and image can be changed.
‘Style icon’ is someone who is probably looked up to by many people in terms of style, personality and their work. “My fashion or style icon has to be lady Diana! Her sense of style and how she carried out everything with so much confidence.. It’s beautiful!” -Says Abhinya Menon
