The Success Story of Faisal Yousaf The Chai Wallah
The Chaiwallah, the journey was beautiful but the struggle was not a bed of roses. It took him more than 10 years to reach where he is today. 10 years of constant hard work laid the fruit which he has been enjoying at present. Faisal Yousaf is the Chaiwallah who lost his parents at a young age. Perhaps seeing his success might be a shock to some people that he grew up at an orphanage.
Certainly, it was his willpower and constant efforts that made him reach these heights. Moreover, Yousaf was unable to clear class 12 so he dropped out of school and made himself focus on other things in life. Which probably would benefit him later. Things which would make his life tomorrow. As he grew up, he landed his hand in many jobs.

He even worked in the field of marketing and made trips to certain countries for learning more. Mumbai was the first place he moved to after abandoning his studies. There, he worked as an estate agent for quite some time. His second destination was Dubai. Staying and working in Dubai for some time again made him to another place. And this time it was England.
Moving to the UK
England proved to be a turning point in his life. By now he had been working in the food and beverages industry for 10 years. There in the UK, he was though working in a coffee company, he always had a thing for tea. Being a tea lover, he missed the desi chai in England. And out of the thirst for the taste of that desi chai, he started experimenting with new tea recipes.
Luckily, during that time he even joined a few courses on the hot beverages industry which of course rendered him further help in his experimentation. Moreover, the experimentation created a passion in him for preparing different recipes of tea.
Four years had passed now and Yousaf had made his tea game stronger. He decided to fly back to India and sell tea blends online so that they would cost less. His first pop-up beverage cart ‘The Chai Wallah’ happened to be near Alappuzha lighthouse. He started it by the end of 2018. It serves about 50 varieties of freshly brewed natural artisanal tea.

The success of this cart was just the beginning as only within the next 3 years, his brand gown out to be having 50-plus franchise outlets. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka are on the list. What adds more to his success story is the fact that his brand has opened its first branch abroad in Dubai as well.
What does The Chai Wallah offer?
You will get every kind of tea there, just name it! The traditional tea, pudina tea, holy basil, paan, dirty, saffron, Kadak, iced masala tea latte and whatnot! Above all, it also offers a variety of tasty snacks and juices. Yousaf even exports blended teas to Europe customers on demand.

Disclosing his future plan, Yousaf wishes to make his venture pan-India by opening a total of 1000 outlets in the coming 5 years. This plan includes outlets to be in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE. Not forgetting the speciality of Chai Wallah, his brand focuses on maintaining hygiene and quality by revolutionising the street tea experience in India.
