Bollywood is the most well-known and prominent industry, and Bollywood celebs have also been subjected to sexual assault at various points in their lives. At the premiere of writer Barkha Dutt’s book, ‘This Unquiet Land,’ Kangana Ranaut spoke her heart out. In her early days, the outspoken actor spoke of being physically mistreated and hit by a certain someone from the industry, whom she did not name. She also recalled being pursued and assaulted by a Bollywood actor who served as her mentor and godfather. She was 17 years old, and she had been physically harmed. Even when an FIR was filed against him, he was only given a warning and discharged.

Deepika Padukone
When she was 14 to 15 years old, Padukone was assaulted. “I recall my family and I were strolling down the street one evening,” Deepika stated, revealing more information about the incident. We had most likely concluded our meal in a restaurant. My sister and father led the way while my mother and I trailed. And this man walked right past me. I could have disregarded it at that moment and pretended it never happened. I turned around and chased this person, grabbing him by the collar in the middle of the street – I was 14 – slapping him and walking away.”
